Poetry from my heart and soul

Lifeless Eyes
I hear your voice in my head when I sleep.
Now you’ve entered my soul and I can’t make you leave.
Why do torment me with your sweet words?
Why will you not let me leave?
I wish I could silence your bittersweet words, but they repeat over and over.
I see you through lifeless eyes.
You look at me as though it were the first time again.
You brush your hand against my cheek.
It feels so warm against my cold flesh.
You tell me you love me, and you will never love another.
You brush the tears from my eyes, and softly kiss my lips.
You wipe the blood from my chest, and tell me everything is over.
You promise me that I will never hurt again.
And all I can do is watch you, watch you through lifeless eyes.
Untitled
I can feel your pain, deep in my heart.
I can see the tears that stream down from your eye.
I know you wish we would never part.
I know you believe that our love was a lie.
The truth is that I love you still.
It’s a fact that I love you more each day.
I always have and I always will.
It’s what hurts the most I have to say.
So now the time has come for me to leave.
One last kiss is all we share.
To live without you, I can’t believe.
To love another, I wouldn’t dare.
Ode to a Friend
I watch you smile, I watch you laugh.
Always you do this with your friends.
The way you pretend to be so tough.
Sometimes I hope it never ends.
I admire how you wish you could protect us all.
I hate it when you put yourself in harms way.
And you’re always there to catch me when I fall.
I look forward to seeing you every day.
You are one of the best friends I could ever have.
When you are with me nothing could be better.
I hope I can always make you laugh.
When we part my tears could not be wetter.
Blessing The Lights
When all I knew was pain and sorrow, a light came into my life.
And soon after, that light brought more lights to her.
Soon all of the darkness in my life was lit with these lights.
These lights became my friends.
And I now know that my life may have its gray times, but never
Again will it be dark.
All of it was because of that special light.
And so I place a thousand blessings on every one of those lights.
And a very special blessing goes out on that one light.
She will be with me until death,
My Angel.
Untittled
You are who I am, and who I’ll always be.
You are the blood in my veins, the light in my darkness.
The more you shine, the more I want to be near you.
You have taken a hold of me, and now I refuse to let you go.
I will take you any way I can, in friendship or more.
I will keep you safe in any way I can.
You have broken the walls around my heart, and you don’t even know it!
I promise I will break the wall around you, and I’ll never hurt you.
You are the one I want to be with.
I hope each day you want to be with me to.
I wait for the day you come to me with your arms open.
That will be the day I close my arms around you.
Love
It hurts, it feels like a knife ripping open your chest.
It’s like floating on a cloud, soft and gentle.
There has never been anything like it.
There will never be anything like it.
It happens when you least expect it.
And always when you never want it.
The feeling blows your mind.
The pain lasts way to long.
It always takes a couple tries to get it right.
Even then, there’s no guarantee.
And when you find that match for you,
There’s no one else who’ll ever do.
What You Do
The fire in your eyes shines as bright as your soul.
The strength in your arms keeps me safe.
The love in your heart knows no bounds.
The kindness in your smile makes my day so much happier.
You protect the ones you love.
You despise the ones you hate.
You give your friendship freely.
You keep your trust locked away.
With the fire in your soul, and the strength in you arms,
You keep yourself protected.
With the love in your heart, and the kindness in your smile,
You make my life so much brighter.
You’ve protected me, and despised the ones who hurt me.
You gave me your friendship, and gave me the key to your trust.
The Coming Of Death
Hooded and cloaked, he walks through the darkness.
Tall and dark he walks towards me.
Who is he, and what does he want?
As he stands before me, he reaches out with one bony hand.
As he takes my hand, my life flashes before me and I realize.
He is Death, and his mission is to show me all I’ve done.
He shows me the good, the bad, everything.
Is this a warning, telling me to beware?
Softly he pulls me towards the darkness.
I try to pull away, but his grip is firm.
I begin to understand, he is here to judge me.
To make me understand, he is here to bring me peace.
I understand, he is Death, and he is coming.
The Seasons
Spring has come and the flowers bloom.
All different colors, and sizes too.
They bring with them the beauty of life.
Summer has arrived, and the fun has begun.
Your friends are out, and it’s time to play.
Going to the beach, or just hanging around.
Fall is here, and it’s back to school.
The leaves are changing, reds, yellows, and orange.
Days are shorter and it starts to get cold.
Winter blows in, and the snows are high.
White flakes are falling, and it’s time to ski.
The home fires burn to keep you warm.

Wow. I'm not usually big on poetry because so much of it feels forced and contrived, but you really have a way with words. You get beautiful thoughts across in a very clear, unselfconscious way.
